Do you long for new pictures of Brown’s campus to look at on a regular basis? Well look no further! My name is Brianna Lambert and I’ll be bringing you weekly photos depicting the life of a Brown student with Snapshots of Brown.
Supposedly it’s winter in Providence right now. That usually means that campus would be covered in snow and students would be walking to class in more layers than you could count. While we did get some snow earlier in the year (enough for students to snag a snow day), Brown definitely doesn’t look like it normally does in the winter.
The last few days have been absolutely gorgeous weather wise. The chill in the air is gone and the shining sun casts a great light all over campus. I was on my way to the Sciences Library (aka the SciLi) and couldn’t help but notice how beautiful Simmons Quad looked.
Simmons Quad is named after former Brown University president Ruth Simmons, the first African American female president of an Ivy League university. The quad is one of the smaller greens on campus, but it’s not lacking in beauty or activity. It is home to the Marcus Aurelius statute and the infamous Dave Binder concert during Spring Weekend.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that spring has come early and this weather will stick around.
Until next time,
