Welcome to The Economista! My name is Andy Pham and I will be giving you weekly tips and tricks on how to budget, save money, and have inexpensive fun at Brown!

Hello! This week I am going to talk about Brown Morning Mail and how underrated it is. If you go to Brown then you already know about Morning Mail and its infamous ding on your phone at 1:00 am. For those who don’t know, Brown Morning Mail is essentially the school’s announcement system where clubs, organizations, etc. can advertise their events, opportunities, and most importantlyFREE THINGS.

On the next page I will share a list style of some of the free and cheap things that I found out about through Morning Mail!Food

  • Kabob & Curry Catering at Events
  • Free Pizza in two Freshmen Lounges Every Friday Night
  • An Apple Tasting Event
  • Ben & Jerry’s at Events
  • and lots more!

  • Jane Goodall Lecture
  • Free Massages from BURP on Thursdays and Fridays
  • Free Advanced Screenings of Hollywood Films

I could go on and on about all of the things I learned through Morning Mail, but I’ll just give you a taste so you can get the idea… There’s always so much going on around campus that it can be hard to keep track of but Morning Mail helps with that.

Just by taking 5 minutes out of your day to use it, you could be potentially saving all of your meal swipes for the day or figuring out what you’re doing for the night!

Thanks for reading!

I am open to any and all ideas, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have! If you have any suggestions, questions, or comments you can e-mail me . Thanks!
