Snapshots of Brown: All Fall Everything

Do you long for new pictures of Brown’s campus to look at on a regular basis? Well look no further! My name is Brianna Lambert and I’ll be bringing you weekly photos depicting the life of a Brown student with Snapshots of Brown.

Ah, fall. The weather gets a bit colder, the leaves change to gorgeous fiery colors, and it becomes acceptable to be as cozy as possible at all times. Fall at Brown is my favorite time of the year, not only because the campus looks particularly beautiful, but also because of all the fall themed activities that happen on (and off) campus.

One of those activities is Fall Fest (pictured above). Every year SPEC, the special events committee, organizes an event with free fall themed foods and performances by a lot of the a cappella groups and dance teams. This year, the food included mac and cheese bites, pigs in a blanket, cider donuts, and pumpkin pie among other things! I love Fall Fest mostly for the free food (what college student doesn’t love free food), but I also love hearing some of our amazing a capella groups perform.

Another fall activity I enjoy is apple picking. While there are no apple orchards in Providence, there are a bunch of them that are a 15-20 minute drive from Brown. This weekend, my friend and I went to Barden Family Orchard, picked more apples than what we know what to do with, and made friends with a very cute cat.

Stay cozy,
