Wondering what Providence has to offer? Curious as to where to find the best off-campus entertainment? Well, lucky for you, On The Brown Low, will give you just that! Isabelle Edwards, a native Rhode Islander, will show you the best spots to grab a bite to eat, find fun activities, or just kick around! Stay tuned!
Recently, my friend, Andi, and I were talking about the great places around Rhode Island and she was shocked that I had never heard of, or been to, Frog and Toad. She promptly informed me that Frog and Toad is her go-to whenever she is gift-shopping due to their eclectic inventory. After thoroughly convincing me that Frog and Toad was a must-visit, I decided to check it out for myself this past weekend. And as you can probably already tell from its storefront art, Frog and Toad is quite the quirky shop!
Andi was 110% right when saying that Frog and Toad is the best place to find off-the-wall, weirdly charming, well-made gifts! From holographic puppy and kitten playing cards to finger puppets, Russian nesting dolls, funky clothing, art prints, handbags, and hilarious cards for any occasion, Frog and Toad has at least one gift that will suit everyone – even your cranky grandma!
Frog and Toad is located on 795 Hope Street, i.e., it’s in walking distance! There are great shops and restaurants located in the same area, so you can make an entire day of your visit if you’d like!
If you’re ever at a loss of what to get a friend for his/her birthday, need a new poster or print for your dorm, or are just looking for something new and interesting to spice up your life, head on over to Frog and Toad. Trust me, you’ll find something you’ll love…I (can almost) guarantee it. (:
Until next time!
